摘要: The structures of purified soluble porcine gastric (Muc5ac) and duodenal (Muc2) mucin solutions at neutral acidic pH were examined using small-angle X-ray scattering neutron experiments. We provide evidence for the morphology network above semidilute overlap concentration entanglement concentration. Furthermore, we investigated gelation both types in response to a reduction pH, where observed formation large-scale heterogeneities within polymer solutions, typical microphase-separated gels. dependence inhomogeneity length scale (Ξ) amplitude excess intensity [Iex(0)] are consistent with previously studied gelled synthetic polymeric systems. persistence lengths chains found be similar Muc5ac Muc2 from Kratky plots data (8 ± 2 nm). © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
