摘要: Abstract Evidence is presented to refute the general applicability of overall permutation symmetry condition originally proposed by Kleinman in describing non-resonant nonlinear optical properties overwhelming majority practical materials and systems. Kramers–Kronig dispersion relations demonstrate that range validity substantially more restrictive than widely assumed. These findings are supported numerous experimental observations effects explicitly forbidden but allowed relations. Considerations molecular coupled with yield alternative simple macroscopic consistent observations.
