摘要: Abstract Some newer insights had been reported in this paper on synthesis and application of calcium aluminate coated graphite alumina–carbon refractory castables. The course evolution AlO 4 (tetrahedral) 6 (octahedral) units the nanocoating was investigated by XRD (X-ray diffraction), Raman spectroscopy FTIR (Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy) studies. An extended research resemblance disparity between sol–gel conventional cements were also explored. FESEM ( Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy), uncoated graphites revisited with a special study ESEM (environmental scanning electron microscopy) those two. hydrophilic thin film containing Ca-doped γ-Al 2 O 3 phases rendered decisive influence retention castable matrix. A comparison pore size distribution thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) two fired refractories advocated superiority one graphite. Determination corrosion penetration indices static slag test, supplemented microstructural studies, confirmed that less porous excelled again harsh environment.
