摘要: A nanostructured sol gel coating of calcium aluminate (CaAl2O4) over flaky graphite has been prepared by a hybrid set precursors. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transformed infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), differential thermal analysis (DTA), particle size distribution and microstructural studies have performed to understand the phase evolution its related characteristics. The topography aspects coated uncoated graphites differentiated atomic force microscopy (AFM) scanning electron (SEM) with energy dispersive spectral (EDS) analysis. FTIR XRD patterns both also investigated substantiate thin extended hydrophilic film ones. better oxidation resistance confirmed thermogravimetric (TGA). Improved water-wettability examined ‘ball-in-hand’ test for moisture requirement during installation high alumina based refractory castable composite containing that graphite. Green bulk density cubes determined corroborate performance aluminate.
