摘要: The role of extraocular muscle (EOM) afferent feedback signals in the control eye movement is still controversial. We recorded from 106 single units vestibular nuclei, oculomotor nuclei and reticular formation 80 decerebrate, paralysed pigeons. EOM afferents were stimulated by passive (PEM) during stimulation sinusoidal oscillation horizontal plane. found that profoundly modified responses 91 (86%) recorded. As well as using PEM to simulate movements similar saccades, we moved a manner which mimicked slow phase vestibulo-ocular reflex (artificial VOR, AVOR). have evidence that, providing closely related parameters movement, alters cells AVOR suggests may play corrective moment-to-moment reflex.
