摘要: Limited knowledge is available regarding the processes by which brain codes velocity of visual targets with respect to observer. Two models have been previously proposed describe target localization mechanism. Both assume that necessary information derived from coding position eye in orbit, either through a copy muscular activation (out flow model) or muscle proprioception (in model). Eye might be sensitive ocular proprioceptors signals differentiation. We used techniques based on manual pointing and tracking target, combined passive deviation one covered eye, demonstrate involved (i) eye-in-head coding, hence function; (ii) long-term maintenance alignment (phoria); (iii) sensing head. These observations support other data now available, describing targets. Such findings interest engineers field robotics who are facing problem providing robots ability sense object order create an internal model their working environment.
