Liberal Education Management in Malaysia Public Universities: Educators’ and Students’ Perspective

摘要: The Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia began to strengthen Liberal Education among public universities. However, there are some challenges in term managing infrastructures and human resources. Therefore, this study examined the perceptions students lecturers towards Education. target population is from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, Sabah dan Kelantan. For quantitative research, Students Perceptions Questionnaire developed by Duke (2002) was used as main instrument which consists 35 items. sample size 1,071. qualitative, interview protocol designed for Dean, Deputy Dean Lecturers. From study, stated that process teaching learning existing curriculum still not able assist them improve their communication skills. In addition, infrastructure such lecture halls reading materials deprivation. lecturers, resource management issues needs be addressed immediately. This had current nature education Malaysian universities, a relatively unexplored area Malaysia. findings useful university administrators government policy makers, notably reference guide.
