摘要: IMPACT OF STATIN THERAPY ON OUTCOMES IN ANEURYSMAL SUBARACHNOID HEMORRHAGE PATIENTS By Abdulkhaliq Jassem Alsalman, M.S. A Thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for degree Master at Virginia Commonwealth University. University, 2009 Major Director: Dr. Gretchen Brophy Professor Pharmacy and Neurosurgery There is conflicting data on effects statins cerebral vasospasm clinical outcomes aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage (aSAH) patients. In this retrospective cohort study, patients were divided into those who received pravastatin (PRAV group) 40mg/d did not (NP group). Data analyzed using multivariate logistic xv regression. Eighty-one met inclusion criteria. was a statistically significant decreased incidence PRAV group; however, association retain significance after adjusting WFNS, race, elevated WBC, clipping (59% vs. 88% NP, p=0.08). no difference proportion severe radiological or mortality between groups. However, there trend towards mean length stay (P=0.06) significantly higher survivors discharged to home group (P<0.0001). conclusion, decrease aSAH receiving pravastatin, but achieve statistical potential confounders. Pravastatin associated with other favorable outcomes.
