Fine-Needle Aspiration versus Core Needle Biopsy for Diagnosis of Nonpalpable and Palpable Breast Lesions

摘要: Fine-needle aspiration (FNA) cytology of the breast is a historically validated procedure, although its usefulness compared with that other minimally invasive methods tissue procurement controversial. Core needle biopsy (CNB), performed variety devices, has gained popularity for evaluating nonpalpable lesions. CNB devices are also being considered palpable lesions in conjunction or as replacement FNA. A review literature emphasis on comparing FNA diagnosis and abnormalities presented herein.
