摘要: The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act requires evaluation for cognitive impairment as part of the Annual Wellness Visit (AWV). Nurses nurse practitioners in primary care are a good position to incorporate brief screens into AWV. Early recognition problems allows clinicians patients opportunity discuss any new or ongoing concerns about cognition, address possible reversible causes, refer further evaluation. It should be noted that some may prefer not explore impairment. Numerous have been developed care, with no one screen being appropriate all clinicians. This review examines psychometric properties, usefulness, limitations both patient informant (under five minutes) endorsed by Alzheimer's, National Institute Aging (NIA), Gerontological Society (GSA) workgroups, plus recently version standard MoCA.
