摘要: The science of X-ray free-electron lasers (XFELs) critically depends on the performance laser and quality samples placed into beam. stability biological is limited key biomolecular transformations occur short timescales. Experiments in biology require a support laboratory immediate vicinity beamlines. XBI BioLab European XFEL (XBI denotes Biology Infrastructure) an integrated user facility connected to beamlines for supporting wide range experiments. was financed built by collaboration between User Consortium, whose members come from Finland, Germany, Slovak Republic, Sweden USA, with observers Denmark Russian Federation. Arranged around central wet laboratory, provides facilities sample preparation scoring, laboratories growing prokaryotic eukaryotic cells, Bio Safety Level 2 purification characterization facilities, crystallization anaerobic aerosol vacuum injector tests, optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy electron microscopy. Here, overview given some results first experiments are highlighted.
