摘要: Abstract U1 is a small non-polyadenylated nuclear RNA that transcribed by polymerase II and known to play role in mRNA splicing. The mature 3' end of U1 snRNA formed at least two steps. first step generates precursors with few extra nucleotides the end; second step, these are shortened RNA. Here, I have determined sequences required for step. Human genes various deletions substitutions near coding region were constructed introduced into HeLa cells DNA transfection. structure synthesized during transient expression exogenous gene was analyzed S1 mapping. results show 13 nucleotide sequence located downstream from conserved among U1, U2 U3 different species only direct formation snRNA.
