摘要: A cDNA and two genes for the Xenopus laevis U snRNP 70K protein have been cloned partially sequenced. The encodes a whose predicted mol. wt is 57 kd but which migrates as 70 in SDS-PAGE when translated vitro from transcript. sequences of human U1 are shown to be very similar. Analysis several genomic clones suggests that there at least two, possibly more, different coding genome. analysed detail cover approximately 16 kb divided into 10 exons last exon covers more than half sequence. During development stage-specific RNAs hybridizing detected. promoter region one demonstrated functionally active, show apparent differences other pol II promoters.
