摘要: The Binalood region in NE Iran, which is an eastern segment of the Alborz Mountains, affected by thin-skinned tectonics. Lower Paleozoic, Jurassic, Cretaceous, and Cenozoic rock sequences as well remnants Paleo-Tethys oceanic realm are transported a southwestward direction several thrust faults two generations: (1) Cimmerian (2) Alpine. Structural units this form either single sheets or duplexes. They have been displaced sequentially piggyback style from hinterland (NE) to foreland (SW) under ductile, brittle-ductile, brittle conditions. Geometrically, they constitute antiformal stack breached on its southwestern side major minor out-of-sequence thrusts.
