摘要: The aim of this work is to bring the cultural heritage two-dimensional art closer being accessible by blind and visually impaired people. We present a computer-assisted workflow for creation tactile representations paintings, suitable be used as learning tool in context guided tours museums or galleries. Starting from high-resolution images original our process allows an artist quickly design desired form, generate data rapid prototyping machines produce physical touch tools. Laser-cut layered depth diagrams convey not only individual objects painting their spatial layout, but also augment relations. CNC-milled textured reliefs additionally render fine details like brush strokes texture sense touch. Our methods mimic aspects visual sense, make sure that haptic output quite faithful do require special manual abilities sculpting skills.
