摘要: Radial thrust in a single volute centrifugal pump, which is result of pressure variation the casing, investigated order to avoid failures caused by this force. Two ideas are introduced or minimize force, first double volute, and second triple volute. A complete pump design was manufactured. The designed such that partition vanes could be added change number volutes. Experiments were performed on single, double, volutes at 500, 800, 900 rpm for each case. The performances three pumps as seen non-dimensional plot, nearly same casing types (Single, volutes). However, values efficiency reveal an improvement associated with presence volute(s)On other hand, use multiple reduced radial These reductions pronounced departure from BEP increased. At shut off instance, thrusts 55% 70%, respectively, below pump.
