摘要: During early development of the peripheral nervous system, Schwann cell precursors proliferate, migrate, and differentiate into premyelinating cells. After birth, cells envelop neuronal axons with myelin sheaths. Although some molecular mechanisms underlying myelination by have been identified, whole picture remains unclear. Here we show that signaling through Tyro3 receptor tyrosine kinase its binding partner, Fyn nonreceptor cytoplasmic kinase, is involved in Impaired formation segments observed cultures established from Tyro3-knockout mouse dorsal root ganglia (DRG). Indeed, mice exhibit reduced thickness. By affinity chromatography, was identified as partner intracellular domain, activity down-regulated mice, suggesting Tyro3, acting Fyn, regulates myelination. Ablating results Decreased Fyn-knockout DRG. Furthermore, decreased levels altered expression myelination-associated transcription factors are these knockout mice. These suggest involvement This constitutes a newly recognized receptor-linked mechanism can control
