摘要: Interest in psychiatric nursing as a practice area is associated with positive undergraduate clinical experiences that include staff acceptance, diverse learning opportunities, direct involvement patients, and community placements. Essential student preparedness includes attitudes affirmative of patient recovery; assessment, communication, teaching, medication administration monitoring skills; toolkit interventions such group facilitation reminiscence therapy. In an innovative intervention, students geriatric setting developed facilitated support reminiscence-based activities to reduce social isolation. Patients increased interactions, gained awareness older adults' interests self-identities, well confidence providing care.
