摘要: In a discrimination task event-related potentials (ERPs) were recorded in human participants to simultaneously presented visual and auditory stimuli with relevant irrelevant features. Stimuli consisted of combinations sine-wave tone (either target or non-target frequency) rectangle particular (target non-target) orientation. two conditions either the was easier. just one feature elicited attention-related ERP components (selection negativity N2b visual, modality) only if that could be easily discriminated. This finding shows hierarchical organization attentional processing Target both components. finding, together similarity ERPs without features suggest, these cannot considered as on-line correlates elementary processes.
