摘要: Ultra wide band (UWB) technology has received increasing recognition in recent years for its potential applications beyond radar to communication networks. UWB is a spread spectrum that requires careful coordination among communicating nodes jointly control link power and transmission rates. Here, we present ultra MAC (U-MAC), an adaptive medium access (MAC) protocol which periodically declare their current state, so neighbors can proactively assign rate values new links locally order optimize global network performance. Simulations comparing U-MAC the reactive approach confirm lowers setup latency overhead, doubles throughput adapts better high loads. also reveal basic form of favors are closer receiver. As result, introduce novel mechanisms radius around receiver within have fair it. We show through simulations effect on tradeoff between access.
