摘要: OBJECTIVE Human papillomavirus (HPV) is a well-established etiologic factor in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC). The objective of this study was to evaluate the association between OPSCC and HPV-related cancerous lesions cervix. METHODS Demographic, survival, pathologic data on all female patients diagnosed with Alberta 1998 2008 were collected. A review pathology reports these undertaken identify Standardized incidence ratios (SIRs) cervical cancer calculated using control obtained from provincial surveillance. Overall disease-specific survival only versus Kaplan-Meier Cox regression models. RESULTS Our results show significantly elevated overall women comparison population (SIR 29.4, 95% CI 12.05-74.98). Patients also had improved no history cancer. CONCLUSIONS Women have risk developing genital cancers, which suggests frequent HPV coinfection tissues patient population. an as previously shown HPV-associated OPSCC.
