摘要: Summary 1. Human‐wildlife conflict is an emerging issue in global conservation. The expansion of human activities throughout the world, combined with restoration wildlife populations, has led to increased contact and greater between people wildlife. 2. mitigation human‐wildlife requires ecological research, social dialogue scientists, stakeholders policy-makers guide management. However, may be politically sensitive, particularly when legal issues are involved livelihoods at stake. In such cases, political pressures override scientific evidence. 3. Conflicts over predator management revealing about roles science politics conflict. We focus detail on one well-studied raptor conservation grouse UK. Research demonstrated: (i) there widespread illegal killing raptors; (ii) predation can limit populations reduce hunting revenues; (iii) techniques available but either unacceptable or unproven field. 4.
