摘要: Smart cities have been recently pointed out by M2M experts as an emerging market with enormous potential, which is expected to drive the digital economy forward in coming years. However, most of current city and urban developments are based on vertical ICT solutions leading unsustainable sea systems islands. In this work we discuss how recent vision Future Internet (FI), its particular components, Things (IoT) Services (IoS), can become building blocks progress towards a unified urban-scale platform transforming City into open innovation platform. Moreover, present some results generic implementations ITU-T's Ubiquitous Sensor Network (USN) model. The referenced model fulfills basic principles open, federated trusted platforms (FOTs) at two different levels: infrastructure level (IoT support complexity heterogeneous sensors deployed spaces), service (IoS suit standardized enablers facilitate composition interoperable smart services). We also need infrastructures European for realistic large-scale experimentally-driven research, main unique-in-the-world experimental test facility under development within SmartSantander EU project.
