摘要: This chapter introduces thermal physiological comfort in relation to outdoor pursuits. The work focuses on clothing for hill walkers but includes consideration of garments related activities such as mountaineering, fell running, and mountain biking. effect location, terrain, weather, energy expenditure, heat generation are described user requirements safe comfortable apparel function. rationale a layered system that facilitates passage liquid sweat water vapor away from the body ambient environment is introduced. A full discussion each component: base-, mid-, outer-shell layer made with reference performance fabrics, sustainability issues, garment design principles, construction. Themes innovation market included at end chapter.
