摘要: Zinc Dialkyl Dithiophosphate (ZDDP) is a well-known multifunctional additive for soap based lubricating greases. Polymers are being studied their performance as grease thickeners and rheology modifiers. In this work the tribological study of ZDDP was carried out in polypropylene (PP), maleated (mPP) linear low density polyethylene (PE) thickened Performance lithium taken reference. The properties were evaluated using four ball tester EP Optimol SRV-III machine coefficient friction. mechanism action polymer greases established through analysis worn surface steel balls with scanning electron microscope (SEM) energy dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDAX). results show that depends on thickener system. antiwear property exhibited by varies from to polymer. Poor observed PP type whereas PE comparable. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
