摘要: Electric charging of nonwoven materials employed as filter media improves their particle collection efficiency by the electrostatic capture mechanism that enhances conventional mechanical filtration without causing an increase pressure drop. The aim this paper is to provide a better understanding corona-charging process such materials, analyzing some factors affect repartition electric potential at surface respective media. experiments were carried out on two types polypropylene samples: fabrics and films. experimental results show area occupied charge increases with both voltage corona electrode duration process. same also time elapsed from end charging, which points redistribution conduction mechanism.
