摘要: Corona discharge generated by various electrode arrangements is commonly employed for several electrostatic applications, such as charging of insulating materials in separators. The aim the present paper to analyze effects presence a grounded metallic shield proximity high-voltage corona facing plate electrode. experimental study first performed using wire-plane configuration, with dual consisting thin ionizing wire parallel cylindrical support, at same high voltage supply. assembly placed inside rectangular box made aluminum and opened lower portion collecting expected increase current intensity decrease inception discharge. For second set experiments, layer polymer on surface investigate influence intensity. In other experiments density repartition measured, show efficiency shielding development Finally, these are discussed relation results numerical analysis electric field wire-plate configuration without shield.
