摘要: A case-control study was conducted to assess the risk factors associated with development of a contralateral primary breast cancer among women who had first cancer. Hospital records were reviewed for 292 an incident cancer, diagnosed in one eight Connecticut hospitals between July 1, 1975 and December 31, 1983, comparison group 264 surviving unilateral patients previously same hospitals. All subjects identified through Tumor Registry. family history any first- or second-degree relative almost threefold increased developing (adjusted odds ratio (OR) = 2.8, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.6-4.9). Further, this relation modified by time elapsed since initial diagnosis (ratio OR 1.9, CI 1.2-3.0 five-year differential diagnosis). delay 10 years full-term pregnancy 36% decrease 0.6, 0.3-1.2); estimate excluded magnitude usually observed studies conceptual framework is presented assessing findings context previous that have examined corresponding associations cancers.
