摘要: Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) comprises approximately 10% of breast cancers and appears to have a distinct biology. Because it is less common than infiltrating ductal (IDC), few data been reported that address the biologic features ILC in context their clinical outcome. In present study we undertook an extensive comparison IDC using large database provide more complete reliable assessment phenotypes behaviors. The biological 4140 patients with were compared those 45,169 (not otherwise specified). median follow-up period was 87 months. IDC, significantly likely occur older patients, be larger size, estrogen progesterone receptor positive, lower S-phase fraction, diploid, HER-2, p53, epidermal growth factor negative. It for metastasize gastrointestinal tract ovary. incidence contralateral cancer higher (20.9% versus 11.2%; P < 0.0001). Breast preservation modestly frequent patients. 5-year disease-free survival 85.7% 83.5% (P = 0.13). overall 85.6% 84.1% 0.64). Despite fact phenotype quite favorable, these do not better outcomes IDC. At present, management decisions should based on individual patient tumor characteristics, histology.
