摘要: Abstract Simultaneous microarray-based transcription analysis of 4987 Anopheles stephensi midgut and Plasmodium berghei infection stage specific cDNAs was done at seven successive time points: 6, 20 40 h, 4, 8, 14 days after ingestion malaria infected blood. The study reveals the molecular components several processes relating to blood digestion, expansion response Plasmodium-infected such as digestive enzymes, transporters, cytoskeletal structural stress immune responsive factors. In parallel, provide detailed expression patterns genes encoding essential developmental metabolic factors proteins implicated in interaction with mosquito vector vertebrate host kinases, translational factors, a variety surface proteins, some which are potent vaccine targets. Temporal correlation between profiles both organisms identifies putative gene clusters interacting processes, invasion epithelium, responses infection, apoptosis expulsion invaded cells from epithelium. Intriguing for highly variable antigens may indicate parasite strategies avoid recognition by mosquito's surveillance system.
