摘要: Traditionally, there has been relatively poor agreement concerning an adequate definition of alcoholism. Although a involving excessive drinking that results in injury to individual’s health, social function, or both would be generally accepted, considerable variation continues exist the formulation more precise definitions with concomitant criteria for differential diagnosis and implications treatment (WHO Report, 1955; Jellinek, 1960; Keller, 1962; Mendelson Stein, 1966a; Plaut, 1967; Cahalan, 1970; National Council on Alcoholism, 1972).
