摘要: BACKGROUND: Fear of the dentist and dental treatment is a common problem. It can cause difficulties for practitioner, as well severe consequences patient. As known, level stress be evaluated thought electrodermal activity, cortisol measure in saliva, or indirectly by psychometric tests.AIM: The present study examined psychological influence interventions on child coping patterns used diminution.METHODS: We two matched groups patients: a) children with orthodontic problems (anomalies shape, position function dentomaxillofacial structures) (N = 31, mean age 10.3 ± 2.02) years; b) ordinary 2.4 years). instruments, we used: 45 items Sarason’s scale anxiety, 20 simple Stress - test adapted children, A cope evaluation patterns.RESULTS: Obtained scores confirmed presence moderate anxiety both level. For obtained group are 20.63 8.37 (from max 45); 7.63 3.45 20); 18.66 6.85 test, while were 7.76 3.78. One way ANOVA significant difference values related to gender. Calculated Student t shows non-significant differences results examinees. Coping mechanisms that most important relief are: developing self-reliance optimism; avoiding engaging demanding activity.CONCLUSION: This patients (orthodontic dental). depending gender age. more activity. Some strategies managing this problem discussed.
