摘要: This study examined factors related to young children’s distress during preventive oral health visits. Additionally, associations between parent-reported child behaviour the dental visit and previous medical visits were tested. One hundred twenty-two children under 3 years of age enrolled in a government insurance programme for low-income seen examination, prophylaxis, fluoride application at university-based clinic. Child was rated by parents on numerical rating scale. The average 23.5 ± 7.3 months. majority (55.7 %) judged have little or no pre-examination. Mild examination reported 42.6 % severe 39.4 %. Intensity not associated with child’s age, gender, health, experience care. Distress also unrelated caregiver’s education level own health. pre-dental prior examinations injections. Dental professionals can better anticipate assessing before enquiring about experiences. Strategies prepare alleviate may help cope visit.
