摘要: A compound with an antiprotozoal effect againstLeishmania brasiliensis was isolated from the submerged culture ofPenicillium frequentans 60A/7 which collected in this country. The active characterised as palitantin, a metabolite of several strains antibiotic activity has not yet been reported. investigated strain produced 200–500mg palitantin per liter medium during cultivation and also small quantity frequentin: 10–20mg liter. Frequentin no other protozoa.
