摘要: A RATHER unusual strain of P. frequentans has been found abundantly in acid heath soils; we are indebted to Dr. K. B. Raper (United States Department Agriculture) for identification this mould. It differs from typical strains the species that it develops extensive white sterile mycelia on Czapek agar and causes some ropiness malt agar. The reverse colonies is less highly coloured than which yellow pigment citromycetin isolated; have had no indication discussed here produce citromycetin; but they do an anti-fungal weakly antibacterial substance propose call ‘frequentin’.
