摘要: This paper reviews published and unpublished data from epidemiological virological studies of rotavirus in the Netherlands to identify gaps our knowledge; it includes analysis surveillance for seasonality age groups at risk. Rotavirus was found approximately 5% stool specimens people consulting a physician gastroenteritis. Of these cases, 38% were under 5 y age. A clear observed, with peak activity winter early spring. In one hospital-based study between 1976 1983, 30% children 3 hospitalized addition, nosocomial infections have been documented. Analysis monthly laboratory 1981 1996 showed that 6 16% samples tested positive rotavirus, again seasonal distribution. total 98% strains typed G-type 1-4. We conclude more recent about hospitalization rates are needed well-founded cost-benefit analysis.
