摘要: A novel, to our knowledge, two-step digit-set-restricted modified signed-digit (MSD) addition–subtraction algorithm is proposed. With the introduction of reference digits, operand words are mapped into an intermediate carry word with all digits restricted set {1, 0} and sum {0, 1}, which can be summed form final result without generation. The operation performed in parallel by use binary logic. An optical system that utilizes electron-trapping device suggested for accomplishing required logic operations. By programming illumination data arrays, any complex operations multiple variables realized additional temporal latency results. This technique has a high space–bandwidth product signal-to-noise ratio. main structure stacked construct compact optoelectronic MSD adder–subtracter.
