摘要: Acknowledging the growing disparities in health and care that exist among immigrant families minority populations large urban communities, UCLA Department of Family Medicine (DFM) sought a leadership role development family medicine training community-based participatory research (CBPR). Performing CBPR requires academic departments build sustainable long-term community partnerships. The authors describe eight-year (2000-2008) process building partnerships trust between DFM Sun Valley community, located Los Angeles County.The used case studies three areas concentration (asthma, diabetes prevention, establishing access to primary care) how they established sustained In preparing each study, an iterative review qualitative data.Many lessons were common across their areas.
