摘要: One of the factors hindering large scale integration wind power is post contingency congestion a network due to limited availability capacity and auxiliary constraints. Under such conditions, operators can potentially request curtailment farm output if remedial strategies fail. The paper investigates this problem in detail proposes mathematical framework capture spare assets that required limit curtailment. proposed approach incorporates stochastic variation asset thermal rating; models congestion, quantifies risk using an extended version conic-quadratic programming based optimization. results suggest utilization be maximized networks are operated 30–50% less than nominal rating assets.
