摘要: Abstract The Ganxet bean is a highly appreciated landrace characterized by markedly curved seeds, high protein content, low seed-coat perceptibility, and mealiness. To analyze the genetic control of seed curvature morphological, agronomical, chemical, sensory traits related to quality in these beans, we used an Additive, Dominance, Additive × Additive model applied Faba Asturiana varieties, their F 1 , 2 BC P progenies. narrow-sense heritability ( h ) was 0.72. number seeds per pod 0.75. area length were 0.55 0.60, respectively. for width, 100-seed weight, length, Mg mealiness, roughness ranged from 0.3 0.4. Seed behaved like continuously variable trait that probably controlled 3 loci. expression this depends partly on environment, its greatest environments favor larger seeds. also had strong additive correlations with content (positive) mealiness (negative). Given ease determining apparently simple control, could be as easy-to-select morphological marker transfer other varieties backcross procedures, regardless whether correlation between due pleiotropic or linkage effects.
