摘要: Abstract The construction field has a widespread usage of cold-formed steel tubular members in various types structures. In recent decades, extensive research studies have been carried out on hollow sections under loading conditions. However, there is lack study the tensile performance with whole cross-section tension. Therefore, focus this to investigate structural behavior and without circular perforations pure tension through experimental investigation. Eleven series made normal high strength were considered. nominal outer dimensions tubes ranged from 20 100 mm wall thicknesses 1.5 8 mm. mechanical properties determined coupon tests. measured 0.2% proof stresses 323 795 MPa. A total 24 specimens, including twelve specimens holes rest hole, tested full Tensile test results discussed compared capacities predicted by North American Specification, Australian/New Zealand Standards European Code. comparisons show that existing design rules provide quite conservative reliable predictions for sections.
