摘要: Quantification of non-Gaussianity for water diffusion in brain by means diffusional kurtosis imaging (DKI) is reviewed. Diffusional a consequence tissue structure that creates barriers and compartments. The degree conveniently quantified the derivative metrics, such as mean, axial, radial kurtoses. DKI diffusion-weighted MRI technique allows to be estimated with clinical scanners using standard pulse sequences relatively modest acquisition times. an extension widely used tensor method, but requires use at least 3 b-values 15 directions. This review discusses underlying theory well practical considerations related data post-processing. It argued sensitive heterogeneity suggested may useful investigating ischemic stroke neuropathologies, Alzheimer’s disease schizophrenia.
