摘要: Several years ago, I began a series of experiments to determine whether individuals classified as Pattern A do, indeed, exhibit excessive achievement striving, time-urgency, and hostility. The results this research provided systematic documentation for the three components behavior pattern.1,2 Moreover, subtle consistency was revealed in array empirical facts. In contrast Type B’s, A’s worked hard succeed, suppressed subjective states (e.g., fatigue) that might interfere with task performance, exhibited rapid pacing their activities, expressed hostility after being harassed efforts at completion—all, would submit, interests asserting control over environmental demands requirements. also suggest these must be least minimally stressful, possibility failure loss esteem inherent most experimental situations used my research. Since there were few differences between B’s how they perceived experiments, coronary-prone pattern described characteristic style responding stressors threaten individual’s sense control. are engaged struggle control, whereas free such concerns, hence, relatively traits.
