摘要: Ants and other insects often follow fixed routes from their nest to a foraging site. The shape of an ant's route is set, initially, by navigational strategies, such as path integration the innate responses landmarks, which depend minimally on memory. With increasing experience, these early are stabilised through learning views landmarks associated actions. substitution memory-based strategies makes insect's more robust precise. ability select between different learnt might incur additional memory requirements those needed for performing route, lead associative grouping memories that relate particular route.
