摘要: Kathmandu Valley is geologically located on lacustrine sediment basin, characterized by a long history of destructive earthquakes. The past events resulted in large structural damage, loss human life’s and property, interrupted the social development. In recent years, earthquake risk this area has significantly increased due to uncontrolled development, poor construction practices with no safety provisions, lack awareness amongst general public government authorities. context, study explores realistic situation losses future earthquakes Valley. To end, three municipalities: (a) Metropolitan City, (b) Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City (c) Bhaktapur Municipality are selected for case study. estimation municipalities performed through combination seismic hazard, vulnerability, exposure data. Regarding input, various scenario considering four sources Nepal adopted. For what concerns exposure, existing literature describing typologies data from national census survey 2011 employed estimate ward level distribution buildings. economic scenarios determined using fragility functions. Finally, building damage corresponding each obtained OpenQuake-engine. within currently being development shelter model region, involving local authorities decision makers.
