摘要: This paper outlines the common observed failure patterns in buildings of Nepal after MW 7.8 Gorkha (Nepal) earthquake. Several types damage were for reinforced concrete buildings, as well unreinforced masonry and adobe houses during reconnaissance survey performed immediately earthquake 25 April 2015. field visits affected districts conducted associated failure/damage have been identified analyzed. also covers non-engineered middle high-rise commercial complexes, administrative schools other critical facilities from Kathmandu valley districts. The construction structural deficiencies are major causes failure, however local soil amplification, foundation problems, liquefaction damages settlement related significantly this reported present paper. In end, lessons learned resumed order to give some guidelines future practices.
