摘要: Abstract Rationale and objectives To develop test the reliability, validity, feasibility of a 360-degree evaluation to measure radiology resident competence in professionalism interpersonal/communication skills. Materials methods An form with 10 Likert-type items related skills was completed by resident, supervising radiologist patient after resident-patient interactions breast biopsy procedures. Residents were also evaluated faculty, using an end-of-rotation global rating form. Residents, technologists queried regarding their reaction assessments 7-month period. Results Fifty-six complete data sets (range, 2–14 per resident) seven rotational evaluations for residents analyzed compared. Internal consistency reliability estimates 0.85, 0.86, 0.87 patient, faculty evaluations, respectively. Correlations between resident-versus-patient, resident-versus-faculty, patient-versus-faculty ratings 56 −0.06 (P = .64), 0.31 Conclusion from this pilot study suggest that self, performance constitutes valid reliable assessment competence. Additional are needed determine whether should be incorporated into residency programs how frequently performed. Requiring only specified number rotation would make process less burdensome faculty.
