摘要: Abstract Wastewater reclamation requires processes and technologies having the ability to reduce presence of micropollutants which are not wholly treated in conventional WWTP. Due complexity membrane–solute interactions diversity secondary treatment effluent (STE) matrices, deeper investigations required identify major foulant species more specifically their behaviour at high concentration real waters. This study investigates rejection fouling potential nanofiltration (NF) low-pressure reverse osmosis (RO) membranes with two STEs sampled from i) a activated sludge process coupled ultrafiltration (CAS-UF) ii) membrane bioreactor MBR (AquaRM ® , SAUR (France)). Whatever origin effluent, RO seems be best solution prevent pollution tertiary effluents (expected result) but also obtain low levels. The different composition molecular weight distribution CAS-UF can explain behaviours that were observed.
