摘要: This study examined the influence of source credibility and message framing on promoting physical exercise in university students. Participants were randomly assigned to reading a positively or negatively framed communication that was attributed either credible noncredible source. Exercise intentions attitudes measured immediately following delivery 2-week delay. behavior also There Source Frame interactions for intentions, behaviors, cognitive response/elaboration measures such participants receiving from elaborated more reported positive behaviors than other conditions. The results present investigation indicate it might be beneficial health professionals provide exercise-related information stressing benefits participating exercise, rather traditional fear appeals, motivate clients engage regular exercise. Implications future research are discussed.
