摘要: Abstract : Due to the relative expense of orbital plane-change maneuver when it is accomplished by means impulsive thrust, other techniques have been sought that would be more economical from standpoint required characteristic velocity. Two make use combined aerodynamic and propulsive forces proposed London Nyland. These are reviewed, their limitations, which due in part certain simplifying assumptions made analyses, presented. This investigation demonstrates both while valuable because they presented closed form, limited plane changes below 30 40 degrees. It also shown superior impulsive-thrust change for vehicles with lift-to-drag ratios greater than 1.5 velocity savings result as a consequence using such maneuvers on order 4000 5000 ft/sec, at most.
